SimpliFone Ultra

The SimpliFone Ultra product is the ultimate smartphone for providing a secure, safe, easy to use and fully functional smartphone with all of the benefits and options available to a smartphone user without the risks and complications that come with the standard smartphone's complex interface and unlimited and uncontrolled access to all things both good and bad.

The SimpliFone Ultra is the ideal solution for users who want access to only a limited number of apps and who then don't want to be bothered by multiple downloads of unwanted (and sometimes unknown) apps from advert or email links.

The SimpliFone Ultra makes use of a single screen home screen and provides initial access to the Google Play Store in order for the user's selection of apps to be downloaded and then activated on the phone.

If the user is a senior citizen for example then it might be that their apps of choice are Whatsapp, Facebook, YouTube, Google Maps and Email together with a few games such a Solitaire and Sudoku.

So whoever is setting up the phone would use the correct Google account login credentials and download these apps.

And if the user is your twelve year old child then it might be that their apps of choice are Whatsapp, YouTube, TikTok, Roblox and Minecraft and if you were setting up the phone for them to use then you could use your Google account login details (or create a new one) and download these apps if you were happy for them to have access to them.

But the downloaded apps would not yet be visible to the ultimate user as they still need to be added to the homescreen and this functionality is only available in the access-code protected setup menu.

Once access to the setup menu has been gained, the person setting up the device can enable or disable each of the apps and only the enabled apps will then appear and be usable on the home screen.

Importantly, the person setting up the device can disable the Play Store app and with that, no other apps can be downloaded until that setting is re-enabled.

This means that control of what the phone can be used for is locked away behind a secure access code so settings and apps cannot be changed either inadvertently or on purpose.

The huge benefit of this is that apps and websites cannot be linked to for download when users tap on adverts or install buttons and so the home screen and available apps never changes and cannot be altered unless there is access to the code protected settings.

And for added protection and control there is a Screen Time Control feature that can be enabled and that is then applied to each of the enabled, downloaded apps available on the phone.

This feature allows the person setting up the phone to limit the total time that the downloaded apps can be used collectively, per day and it also allows a time limit per app per day.

Again these controls are protected behind the access code and the benefit of these controls over something like Google Family Link is firstly that it is much easier to set these controls on the SimpliFone Ultra and secondly there is no opportunity for your child to interrupt you at work or when you are out asking "for more time please" because this can only be modified when the device is physically in the hands of the person who has the access code.

The access-code protected settings of the SimpliFone inlude access to the standard Android settings menu so that new WiFi networks can be added, blue tooth devices can be added and used and the usual settings for tones, notifications and vibrations can be set up according to preferences.

Also all of the other SimpliFone menu options relating to controls for making and receiving calls, dialling numbers, adding contacts and changing ringtones and the access-code are also included.

And there is also a stand-out feature in the fact that an Emergency Call icon can enabled for display on the home screen, in the first (top left) position in the app layout grid. When enabled, tapping this emergency call icon will dial the phone number stored in the first position of the phone contact list. So this can dial a security company, a contracted medical assist company or a family member or friend.

In summary - the SimpliFone Ultra is a really easy to use, super reliable and ultra safe and controlled smartphone that can easily be configured to precisely match your specific smartphone needs.

SimpliFone Ultra is sold as a ready to go product that can be used with any GSM SIM card and that is based on Samsung smartphone hardware.
